Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man\'s Chest (Two-Disc Collector\'s Edition)Have you seen POTC: Dead Man’s Chest? If not, beware…some of the below could be construed as…erm…spoilers.

Elizabeth seems to be confused with which one she wants. Oh sure, she loves Will, but that compass of Jack’s; the one that points to what you want most, is pointing in a direction she doesn’t dare contemplate. Because, after all, she’s in love with William, due to be married and all that rot.

Or is she in love with Will? Could it be just a passing fancy born from rescuing the poor mite all those years ago and then having him reject her up until the very last minute? Sometimes what you want the most, have spent years trying to obtain, once you have it, you realize it isn’t what you want at all…

Jack is exciting, dangerous, and thrilling. And Will is, well, boring. He’s a blacksmith, lives by the rules, and is so in love with Elizabeth it’s almost sickening to watch. Now, why in the world would Elizabeth even contemplate even thinking of Jack Sparrow, hmm?

One word, love: Curiosity.

She wants to do things that she can’t do what with being a woman in those times and all that rubbish. LOL. But Jack is offering her a chance to do those very things, and the only thing holding her back…is Will. Decisions, decisions, tsk, tsk.

Can you tell I like to speculate? Sure I was/am rooting for Elizabeth and William, but sometimes my mind takes unexpected turns and I start thinking those words that get me in trouble more oft than not: What If?

And on that note I leave you all with a question: What if Elizabeth ends up with Captain Jack Sparrow, the notorious pirate instead of William Turner, the responsible blacksmith? What will be going through your head? And if you were in her shoes who would you be choosing?

Brianna (Yes, I know I snagged my post from the Romance Readers blog. I couldn’t be expected to come up with something that awesome twice, now could I? ;-) I’m only kidding. I was being lazy.)
